SEPTEMBER STATS: 23 miles



SEPTEMBER 2009:  23 miles
SINCE START OF TRAINING: 23 miles

My first month down and I feel great that I knocked out 23 miles.  I realized as I merged my maps that I overlapped my routes in some areas in the Financial District so I lost some ground on my quest to hit every street.  I am going to plan my future routes so I avoid doing that.  I'm eager to see how much ground I can cover as the lengths of my walks increase.  My goal for next month is to reach a 10 mile walk.  Cross fingers!

Ooh, and I'm getting very excited about walking in the Bridge to Bridge walk on Sunday to benefit the Special Olympics!  It's 12.5K (about 7.7 miles) which will be challenging but I'm confident I can handle.  Pictures will be forthcoming.
